  • I have had nothing but a frustrating time with this business. After several attempts to call and leaving messages to have them explain the Groupon process for me (all that was listed on the Groupon was to register on their website- which was not possible) I went down in person (since nobody had returned my phone calls). When I got there there was no one at reception (I was told the receptionist had gone home sick) however there was another person there (I think she was an instructor?) who was nice and helpful by taking down my details (including my Groupon #) and who indicated the manager would be calling me back to clarify my questions. I did get a call from the manager the next day however when I tried to call her back her voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. When I called on the next open business day what I got as a response from the manager was someone who was completely rude and unprofessional on the phone. I indicated my frustration with being able to get ahold of someone and she indicated I did not leave any info so she couldn't look up my account; I clarified I had left my details in their book on the front desk with the other girl a few days before. I had also told her I tried to call her but her voicemail had been full. I had some questions about the process of how to register for classes and it was clarified that I had to sign a waiver and pay the GST prior to being able to register- this was fine as this is done with most Groupons anyways. I then asked if the GST was for the $20 I paid for the Groupon or if it was on the actual cost of the classes- her response to me was "Are you telling me you have a problem paying the GST?!"- she was so RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL in her response that it honestly caught me off guard- I have not had someone in a business capacity be that rude to me for quite a long time. I tried several times to clarify what I had meant and indicated I did not have a problem paying GST rather, that sometimes this varied from business to business- I don't think she understood what I meant as she kept telling me that I had to pay for the GST on the Groupon and that it would be $6 or something (I forget the exact amount- but clearly this was on the full cost and not the $20 Groupon paid cost). She also continued to state several times that I would have to pay GST and sign a waiver- I told her I was well aware of this and that this was not something I had further questions on. As this "managers" tone continued, I told her that I felt she was being somewhat hostile on the phone- she stated she was "trying to help" and asked me what classes I wanted to sign up for, that she could get me started on this- at this point she also apologized in a meaningless manner. When I said I was not sure about the classes and I elaborated on my comment about her presentation on the phone she sharply informed me that "Well, then you can go get a refund from Groupon- thats another option". I indicated I was not aware that this was an option but I am glad she told me as this is what I have now requested. I cannot believe that the owner(s) of this place would be ok with their manager treating potential customers this way- I honestly could not believe how rude she was being. I am not looking for anything from this company (and wouldn't take anything for free even if they offered it to me) but I want people to know what a disorganized, unprofessional business this is- and yes, I say business instead of "person" because your processes and employees are a direct reflection of you, the owner(s) and your business. After the way the manger spoke with me I wouldn't feel comfortable at all going here for classes- she has ruined a potential positive experience for me (as they do have some neat classes which would have been fun to take) and she has also ruined any sort of referral for Fierce Girl Fitness that I will be passing along to those that I know- I will now be telling them this story instead. I hope that the owner(s) see this review and will provide feedback/further training to their employees around customer service- clearly they need it.
