Went there Sunday for a retirement dinner for a fellow employee. Party of seven.
First time at Austin's. Great steakhouse feel with subdued lighting, high-backed leather chairs. We were seated promptly and beverage orders taken. One slight hitch in the service was they had one waiter servicing the entire room. Mind you, it wasn't terribly busy but really one guy? BTW he did a good job with our party.
I speak to what I ordered. King-cut prime rib, rare. It came out hot and cooked as requested. The one take away is too much fat on the piece. I enjoy a well marbled cut but this was a tad too much. About a third was non edible.
Apart from the criticism of the prime rib, service was good and it was an enjoyable evening.
