Ok, everyone I know says the food is so good here.. People had me very much intrigued to try out this Mexican restaurant. It was crowded, good sign of good food right? Diverse crowd also told me that it was good food too. The cashier was very friendly and seemed overwhelmed by all the people in the line. I waited for a table and spoke with a couple who literally eats at this restaurant each time they drive in from Flagstaff as this is one of their favorite spots in the valley! Again, boosting my excitement for the food! So, after about twenty minutes of listening to the people announcing the number of the orders over the intercoms ( omg so flipping loud) that was ridiculous- they need to turn it down and teach etiquette to not yell into a microphone! Finally- my food is ready! I was surprised that my tamales had no meat! Like zip! I didn't even know what or how I ended up with tamales with literally corn in it?! I've never ever seen that in my life! The person I was with said how great the rice was- so I took a bite, and it was dry. I mixed the rice up with the beans and ta-da! Good! The beans were good and honestly the other meal on the table looked so much better than my vegetarian tamales! ( I didn't know that I ordered meatless tamales) However, three stars because Gesh apparently the tortillas are great, and I just didn't get to experience it. My suggestion is if you want some meat in your tamales, make sure you make it clear when you order otherwise it's corny!
