Omg I should've read the reviews before renting here. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish! We waited over an hr just to get a freaking car even with a reservation. This is the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Holy crap! Never again. Had we not made the reservation online, we wouldn't have waited in line for this mess. I've always used Enterprise or Avis; Budget didn't even have the best rates so I really have no idea why I even picked them this time when making reservations - terrible decision on my part. We realized that the only reason it took forever to process each rental was because the agents try really hard to sell additional coverage plans on the car. I just want my darn car after wasting an hour in line. The agents were just rude and seemed so annoyed the whole time... did they expect smiles & thanks when they try to hustle people into paying more for useless stuff when all they want is their car after waiting in line forever? I repeatedly declined any additional insurance/coverage but the agent kept on insisting that it's not insurance... it's a liability waiver blah blah trying to scare me into buying it. They would not take no for an answer, which is why their line is extremely long compared to the other rental companies inside McCarran Rent-A-Car center. What a nightmare!
I highly recommend everyone who rents here to carefully inspect the car before leaving the lot. If there are any noticeable damages (even a paint chip), get a Budget employee to sign off on your inspection sheet BEFORE you head to the exit booth because they will NOT do inspection there; they won't tell you that the employee who checks you out at the exit booth will not sign off on your inspection sheet so it's pretty much invalid and when you return the car, they will charge you for damages that's already there.... so shady!! Also, this is a given but read your contract carefully before you sign it just in case; pretty sure they prey on frustrated people who just want to get their car as soon as possible and leave. Another warning, if for some reason you only put 75 miles on your rental car from Budget, make sure you have a gas refill receipt when you return the car or they will charge you $14.
