My friend from out of state came to visit and she picked Phoenician as her choice for afternoon tea. I made a reservation a week ahead and got a reminder on my phone a couple days we supposed to be there. On my voice mail, Paige was very nice and told me about which entrance to enter and where to park. It's great to receive the friendly reminder and hear a sweet voice with the detailed information.
As soon as we entered the afternoon tea room, Paige was there to greet us. We were promptly seated. We were impressed with how big the teapots were. We both had afternoon tea at other places, but teapots were just a lot smaller. The finger sandwiches were delicious. My favorite was the one with salmon. We also managed to have seconds. Since I couldn't finish all of them, they gave me a container to put the leftover home.
Then, we had the scones, they were warm and tasted wonderful. The deserts were next. I especially liked the chocolate covered strawberry. I also took the ones I couldn't finish home too.
Overall, we had an amazing time, we spent almost 2 hours there. Food and tea were great, service was excellent. We took advantage of the Culinary Countdown which was $30 per person instead of the regular $42 full tea price, that made the experience even better.
We would love to come back when they reopen up in the new renovated room. Can't wait!
