| - I'm one of the first residents to rent here and I honestly can not wait until my lease is over. Aspire is the perfect place to live if you didn't have the college experience. By college experience, I mean the RA down the hall policing everything and harassing certain people.
Pros:
- Pretty
- Clean
- Location
Cons:
-Overpriced ($1378 for a 1bd/1bath. No oven just a microwave/convection oven. No extra storage.
- I got a letter today saying since my lease is almost up I can renew for $1500 or more. Um...why pay that here when I can go to right down the street and get an apartment with more privacy & better amenities? Hello Elysian!!
- Amenities! Yes, there are the standard amenities just shiny / new. BUT you're watched so heavily by management that you don't even feel comfortable using them.
- Management is horrible since Nicole and Jennifer left.
-The apartments are small with no real storage space. I mean, there's storage but you have to pay extra for it.
- They don't respect service animals or the rights regarding them.
- Lack of privacy or boundaries. Manager Stephanie once took it upon herself to come upstairs, bang on my door, wake me up, and voice a complaint from a neighbor. Luckily Nicole took care of it.
- Calls at almost 9pm asking for an extra $10 for rent. AFTER I had already paid and was given the green light by office personnel.
- The walls are paper thin. I shouldn't be able to hear my neighbors plugging a charger into the wall.
- One parking permit for the entirety of your lease. So if the plastic permit breaks, flies out of the window, and / or gets destroyed you're screwed. You can't buy a replacement or park in a covered spot.Ever.
- The call boxes are complete jokes. It's seriously like dial up internet when it comes to speed / access. There is no standard gate code to give guests. Also, they change your individual code without telling you. I was told to "just find your last name in the call box to find your new number."
- Receiving deliveries is a horrible experience. ^^^
- The apartments were thrown together in a rush. Cabinets are coming off hinges, outlets are crooked, baseboards coming up...you name it.
- Neighbors left trash in the shared hallways for 3 days. Resulted in bugs and having to have my apartment sprayed more than once.
- Not enough lighting in parking / outdoor areas. Yet, they want you to park in uncovered parking, make the hike to your unit and just hope you don't get attacked. Yay, for safety.
- Did I mention no privacy?? It's like living with your parents. They're always there!! Sure I would like to check my mail or play pool but the RA's are right there. You never feel "home".
- Oh and no loud anything after 10pm.
I admit to getting caught up in how pretty the place is. The color scheme is great but it's also the same color scheme for almost every new set of apartments in Vegas. I'm sure my renewal rate went up because I've had to make so many complaints but that's fine, I've wanted to end my lease for the past 7 months so I have no intentions of renewing. Ever.
So live here if you're ok with all of that. I'm happily taking my money elsewhere when this awful lease is up.
