  • One of the many things I like about the Fairmont Hotels is that they seem to go out of their way to promote local, and in most cases, independent businesses. Example: Dirty Bird Black Lager by Calgary's Last Best Brewing & Distilling. There's nothing wrong with old standbys, and you can find them here too. But the truth is that there are many wonderful products that are often overshadowed by large multinationals. Unlike other hotel chains, the Fairmont puts these products on a level playing field in places like this
