| - We visited on a recent Sunday morning and the good news is our wait to get a table was not that bad - maybe 20 minutes. But that's where the good news ends.
Once inside, maybe another 5-10 minutes before our server stopped by. Then another 5 minutes or so to get untensils and water. Then, another 40 minutes for our food to arrive!! During this time, no communication from the server, no smiling faces or apology from anyone on the staff.
When our food finally arrived it was stone cold! If we hadn't waited so long, we would have sent the food back; but at this rate we would have been there all day.
After mentioning the problem to our server, he did the right thing and gave us the meal free. Even still, not once did anyone from the front of the house stop by to say one thing. Passed by our table often to frantically bus or set tables nearby, but couldn't be bothered to acknowledge the issue. Even when we left, no "thank you" or "come again" from the hostess. Basically they really could not have cared less about us as customers.
Bottom line, Skillets has great potential; but until they work on improving some basic restaurant management fundamentals, not sure we'll be visiting again anytime soon.
