  • Poor Customer service and poor technician service. First of all there are to many century link store options but not a main century link choice on Yelp. When I signed up for the service they said I would have to sign a one year. I normally wouldn't sign one but I heard they were good company and I figured it's only a year. Well I have had the service for 3 months now and have decided to cancel my contract and pay the $250 fine for early termination. So ever since I signed up I have had nothing but problems. When I went to their store they gave me a good price +sales tax. So I figured that wouldn't to much. Well surprise to me when I got my bill. First they said my internet modem rental charge would be waived for the first year. That $9.99 a month. Well each bill they charge me for the modem and I have to call or take my bill in to the store to get it credited. Then the fees. Cox cable has less fees. I think the one that made me the maddest was the Sports Network Fee. What. So I went to talk to the store and they said they can't reverse the fee even though I don't even watch the sport network. Never saw this fee when I had Cox cable. Next problem was when they accidentally turned my service off on Friday. I called when I got home and oh found out my cable, Internet, and phone were all off. So after calling they said there was an outage and it would be back on at 1am. Ok I suppose I can wait till tomorrow for my services to be reconnected. Saturday still no service called back and was told the was another outage. I then asked why is my neighbors service working. Now again all three services were out. After telling the customer Service rep this he changed his story about the outage. He told me well there is an outage in your area on PBS. So PBS is not working and he uses that outage to tell me that's why all three of my services were out. Wow. What customer service they have they should be proud of them for lying to there paying customers. So finally they get a service call but not for that day but the next day. So now 2 day with no services. Sunday comes and finally late afternoon they show up. After going through everything they notice that the fiber optic was shut off to my house. Easy fix right. Well yes it is, they just need to go to the main terminal down the street and switch it on. Well easy for the techs that actually work on those which of course don't work weekends. So now I have to wait till Monday some time between 9am to 4pm for a tech to come and fix it. Oh and someone need to be home so unscheduled time off from work. So not only did I not have services but I lost over $400 in pay that day. So finally after all weekend with no services they finally switched me back on and apologized for someone mistakenly turning me off. So after getting the service back on one of my cable boxes kept going out. So called Century link two more times with techs coming out and not getting it fixed. The last time I called I ask just to change the box out. Well I wasn't home to make sure that got done and the tech said he fixed the problem and left without replacing the box. The next day the problem was back. Well I was told it would take 3 day to get a new box to me. So I decided to drop century link and go back to the more superior quality and service of Cox cable. Don't waste your money or time. I would hate to hear about another person loosing pay for having to take a whole day of work off because the techs don't show up until the last hour, actually after the scheduled time. If I could give the minus stars they would get 5 of them.
