| - Would give this place negative stars if I could. Where to start.... Had a large amount of money stolen from my roof safe bc hotel maintenance opened it for someone who called from the room whose name was not on the room! Meaning they opened the safe for a random person without checking ID. Now, instead of trying to accept liability they are doing everything to cover their asses. They refuse do divulge any information about what happened and was only able to find out specific information shout when the safe was opened and how from someone who would only talk off the record. Now if that's not enough.... After spending 5 hours filing out incident reports with the police and the casino I demanded to get a room for the weekend comped (I was due to check out that morning). After initially refusing by claiming they were full they finally relented and found a room but still initially tried to charge for the room. I point blank told them I was not going to spend another dime there. The front desk lady told me she thought she could get it comped through a casino host and would let me know the next morning if she couldn't and went ahead and booked the room, again I explicitly told her to let me know if I was going to have to pay bc I would go somewhere else if that was the case. Don't hear anything the next morning so call the front desk about the status of my room, I am told a new room is ready and when I ask if there are any charges showing for the new nights he says no.
So I check in on Friday being told that I have rooms for the weekend. When I get back to my room early Sunday morning I call the front desk to make sure they aren't morons and booked me through Monday morning as all I ever was told was I was booked for the weekend. Sure enough Sunday is apparently not considered a weekend to these people. I explain the situation on the phone and am told someone will call me about it in the morning. Obviously nobody calls the next morning and I just leave bc I was supposed to meet up with friends anyway. Somehow things still get worse. I check my email that night to find the copy of a bill sent from the Rio for those 2 nights. Yep they charged me over $250 despite being explicitly told multiple times that it would be comped, that I would be notified if it wasn't going to be comped. So I call this morning and have to listen to 2 different people blather about their comp policy, not knowing this particular situation at all, was finally told the front desk manager would call me when she gets in tonight. Guess what? Waited to 11 pm and shockingly nobody called!! So I call again, finally get in touch with a manager, and am told the money will be refunded if my story can be corroborated by the front desk manager. So we will see if they manage to screw this up as well. Long story short, this property is filled with thieves, scumbags, liars, and gross incompetence. I will probably be fighting a long battle to get the money back which they essentially stole from me due to their own negligence, not to mention fraudulent room charges on top of that. Travesty this place is allowed to host the WSOP
