I'm rarely in the midtown area, but was invited to practice at this studio by a friend. Moksha Uptown is on the second level of a retail strip on Yonge and St. Clair. It's crazy spacious with huge change rooms that remind me of the downtown Elmwood Spa, and multiple practice rooms. There's also convenient Green P parking nearby. If you've done Moksha before, the poses will be no surprise, but I found the heat here to be more intense than the Danforth location just because of the sheer size of the class and practice room. The room can fit 40 people easily, and is laid out so that four staggered rows can face the mirrors versus the two rows that Moksha Danforth accommodates. I still prefer my home studio even though it is absolutely dwarfed by this big box version, because I find the small class sizes cozier with more opportunity to have adjustments made by the instructor. The cork floors in the Danforth practice room is also nice on the joints.
Level of instruction was awesome as always, and the staff managing the front desk were kind and conversational. They actually have a wide selection of retail merchandise in the front lobby as well. Love love the Moksha line of studios and would absolutely come back!
