  • This place is really about the pool & nightlife so don't expect a high end dining experience. I did not know this when I made my brunch reservations yesterday so I was unpleasantly surprised. The staff were cordial enough but the waiter lacked the proper dining etiquette I would expect when I am paying $25 for a cocktail and $10 for a bottle of water. He just was not on his game and I had to keep asking for things. (like cream, then a spoon etc). I ordered a cappuccino and he informed me that they could not make espresso because the machine only took 'pods' and it was broken at the moment. Hm. My companion ordered tea and the waiter said he wasn't sure if they had any...rattled off a few varieties he thought they had then came back and informed us that they actually had none of those kinds. This is just NOT acceptable if you are going to provide brunch in what purports to be a high end establishment. I had the short rib hash - which was actually eggs benedict with short ribs. Not what I was expecting but quite good. My friend had pork belly benedict and the meat was a rather dry & overcooked. The side was a small portion of potatoes. I think a salad or fruit would have been a nice addition, too bad they did not provide that. The patio exterior was quite nice but closed. The views were great. Overall, the food in my experience was mediocre and the service amateurish. It seems like they are riding on the cache associated with having a rooftop location and a pool and have neglected to refine the other aspects of the business which would make this a truly excellent experience. For example, the interiors are quite posh but a bit banal compared to other restaurants in the area such as Oretta. The food I had was average, nothing more, nothing less. If you are going to charge these kinds of prices then you should be delivering excellence on all fronts, not riding on the allure of a rooftop pool. I felt disappointed. I expected a luxurious high end experience and it did not deliver.
