  • David did a great job helping me today 4/27/18 because my AC was not working (for 48 hours). He let me know he was on his way, quickly assessed and repaired the issue (in less than 10 minutes). He was polite and professional. Even though he was obviously busy (his phone kept ringing) he was very gracious when I asked him if he would help me understand how to program my thermostat. He spent at least 10 minutes instructing me and answering my questions and never once made me feel that he wanted to hurry out the door. Here's the backstory: My AC went out in Arizona on a Wednesday night. My home is under warranty with American Home Shield and first they set me up with Consolidated Mechanical but they were unable to schedule me until Saturday and the idea of being without AC when the temps were approaching 100 is upsetting. Even though I pleaded to get service sooner the person was completely uncaring. So on Thursday am I called AHS back and they scheduled me with Sweet Mountain AC Repair. Dave called me while I was still on the phone with them! He left a message. I called back 2x with no answer. Then I decided to text him. He answered quickly and we were able to set up a time on Friday for him to come to my home to do the repair. David is a sole proprietor of his business and it's obvious that although I am sure he wants to be available to take phone calls my experience was that he was more focused on helping me then taking the calls (not everyone does this, how many times have you been working with someone and they keep interrupting to take phone calls?). So for all of you who complain that he is not responsive try texting him to set up your repair time! It worked really well for me. I read the reviews (mostly bad, and some very old) here on Yelp after AHS set me up with David. But I decided to give him a try anyway and I am very pleased that I did. I told him about the bad reviews and he acknowledged that he is aware of them and was honest enough to admit sometimes he spread himself too thin, but has since taken measures to change this. It's too bad that it's so hard to get old, bad reviews removed when they are not a true reflection of your business ethics. When he was leaving David said, "M'am, I have just decided to do the best job I can and the rest will take care of itself". I told David I would definitely write a review for him. I hope you will engage David for help when you need it. He is a quality person.
