We came to Vegas for a girls' weekend and were excited to find a decently priced, recently "renovated" hotel located just close enough to the strip but far enough to avoid some of the ridiculously priced strip hotels. We were checked in to the hotel by the very pleasant and helpful Suzie and were informed that the pool was not open for the entire 90° weekend. Once we got to our room located across from the courtyard/pool area we went to open the window to let some air in and the handle was separated from the glass portion of the window. I called the front desk and spoke with Suzie. She was very friendly and apologetic and gave us another room along with a couple of 2-for-1 drink coupons for the hotel bar. Once inside our new room, we were pretty pleased with the size of it and the comfortable beds.
Over the course of the 4 days we spent at the hotel we were met with several issues:
- The internet service does not work well at all and when we asked the front desk about it we were told, "you pay for it whether you use it or not."
- A couple of the front desk staff we encountered were extremely rude and short with us in their responses to some of the very relevant questions we had.
- We waited in the bar area for the hourly running shuttle to the strip but when it was time to board, there was a line of other riders that met the full capacity of the bus. We were unable to catch that particular one so we asked the front desk staff member, I believe his name was Travis, if there would be another run in between for us and the other couple of people that didn't fit the first trip and we were told that it was a free service, it only runs every hour and that we just had to wait.
- We played the slots around 2am for over 30 minutes without being approached to ask for initial or refills on our waters so we went to the bar and stood there while the bartender finished her conversation with the security guard. When she took a pause from that we asked for more water and she told us that we had to get it from the staff member that was and had been cleaning the restrooms...mind you all, there was no one else at the bar waiting to be served so she could and should have filled our water cups!
All in all, the room was decent and the stay was good for the most part. The only issues we encountered were on the customer service side of things.
Suzie was extremely helpful and professional!
Lisa and Jeri, the bartenders were great!
The shuttle drivers were very cool and helpful.
Cedric was very polite and told us to let him know if we needed anything.
Would we stay here again? Probably not. But the staff listed above made the stay a little better for us.
