| - I work close-by and decided (against my colleagues advice) to try this place out of desperation. Important work meetings and chipped shellac don't mix.
I felt weird even upon entering the salon. The man at the front desk was eager to seat me, but the lady doing my nails did not seem pleased. I asked her where I should sit and she said, "Doesn't matter". Okay - not great. I sat in one of the seats. She grabbed my nails and started to remove my chipped shellac. She didn't allow enough time for the solution to soak, and ended up jabbing (READ: RUINING) my nails to get the polish off. When it came time to the shellac polish, she jammed my hands into the dryer. The light didn't turn on, and she scolded me for not pushing my hands in far enough. She then polished away, throwing one hand into the dryer while grabbing the other. Along the way, she touched the polish leaving a large ding in my one nail. Her words? "God, why wouldn't you have been more careful?".
Overall, they tried to charge me $35 which I refused to pay (a shellac change is listed on their website for $20). They then charged me $5 to remove my original shellac, a service that is typically included in most shellac changes. I ended up paying $25+tax. Still not awful, but I would absolutely pay more for a better experience.
I will not be back, and may this review keep others from going there as well.
