  • My experience at Findlay Honda was STRANGE. First visit: We park, get out of our car and realize there is NO ONE standing outside eagerly waiting to greet us and .. I don't know.. try to sell you a car? Every other dealership there are salesmen outside (no matter how hot or cold it is) waiting for you. I was shocked to see not one single person. We walked inside the doors to find a slumped over Mel who barely got off the chair to come after us after we walked past him to look at the Pilot ourselves. He did not have much knowledge about the vehicle, which was fine since we had done our research already.. we just like to be ensured our info was correct and he couldn't even do that. Not sure why he's selling cars to be honest. We left because I would not have purchased a vehicle from him. We continued on our journey with looking at other Honda dealerships and didn't have luck making the kind of deal we wanted so I gave it one more shot to go back to Findlay Honda. We we arrived, again no one waiting outside.. went inside and 2 people got off their chairs to greet us. We were told that a young man was going to be helping us today and he was relatively new in the business. I wish I could remember his name because I even told him I would give HIM a good yelp review because he was very kind and wanted to help us out even though he did end up needing to send over his manager to then attempt to get a deal. He was great though, the only reason why this review got more than 1 star. *PROPS to him. Anyway, told him the numbers I wanted to see and of course they play their games wanting to give you this OUTRAGEOUS price which is no where close to what you asked for. When we went back and forth a little bit, good old Travis decided to come over and talk with us. I'm a firm believer in first impressions and I swear, I shook this mans hand more firm and confident than he did. It was sad actually. He sat down and continued to make me feel terrible. Told me "I should look else where and consider a different vehicle." Basically, that I didn't have the funds for this car. I felt so shocked that he basically just said .. "Honda doesn't need to lower their pricing because our cars sell their self" Um? Really? It was so rude - I'm shocked that this is how he does business. This review isn't because I didn't end up getting the deal I wanted because I understand at the end of the day everyone needs to make money, I'm writing this for the terrible customer service.
