  • Toronto has just scored a much-needed addition to the yoga-pilates scene with this new boutique studio. New Yorker Natalie Harper, who has split her time living in Belize and Capetown and her Canadian partner, Colin Campbell, have brought one of the best yoga-pilates studios to Toronto. Fly Studio offers suspension, aerial, mat and reformer Pilates classes (along with a hybrid of these) to the downtown core. Nestled at Queen and Spadina, the only drawback to this beautifully built and designed boutique studio (all done by Colin's handiwork!): it's going to get full very quickly!! So coveting your pre-booked classes will be a must! An easy to use online booking system helps to pre-book and cancel classes with ease. The payment options are effortless and navigate smoothly. Colin is quick to respond to any online booking issues, as is Natalie. Bonus: Natalie often recommends classes suitable to your needs based on your performance! Beginners can venture into suspension and aerial yoga, reformer Pilates. Intermediate to advanced students will enjoy a strong, challenging workout with Natalie and the suspension yoga and HIIT classes. The range in courses never leaves one wanting of change. The four reformers (the Pilates 'machines'), coupled with new yoga classes, are a rarity in downtown Toronto outside of gyms. And music plays making the hour fly by. I highly recommend all of the classes and instructors. Friendly, welcoming, and professional, they all adapt poses and classes to all levels of practice. And they will all put your muscles to work if you want them to! You will be toned in no time for your next vacation or summer holiday. Favorites: Natalie's reformer classes, cocooning in savasana pose in the silk harness after Kaye's class with a bit of touch therapy, Juan Carlo's suspended bar class (for your inner ballerina and gluts) and a workout with the Suspension Strength or the new HIIT class. Suspension yoga is another great workout, as are the mat and sculpt classes. It's tough to pick a favourite when they are all excellent! Shhhh... don't spread it around to quickly!
