| - I'd say that the restaurant proper has above standard pub food. Burgers, sandwiches, and some pretty upscale dinner options for a reasonable price.
The reason for 3 stars is that I have yet to recieve reliable service. Most recently, a friend and I went for dinner on a Wednesday. It was a little busy, there was some kind of party upstairs. You'd think with a loud party going on they'd sit us downstairs, but you'd be wrong. So, it was loud and for some reason they had exactly one server for the entire section, so part of it wasn't even her fault, it's poor management. So, understandably it was slow service. The problem came with the food. My friend's food was so over seasoned that neither of us could have more than a bite. It wasn't spicy as in hot, it was spicy in that it felt like someone just dumped a couple of season bottles on it and called it a day. Our server was busy, so we couldn't really flag them down. I went to the bar to get someone's attention. Someone else came, and just took her plate without actually finding out what was wrong, or what the fix was. Eventually our actual server came back, and my friend got a meal that was better, and what she wanted. At no point did a manager come by. On our way out the door, we tried to tell the hosts what had happened, and again it went pretty not great. A manager even walked by in the middle of our talk, and completely ignored us.
So, I won't say don't eat here, because the food is good, but maybe go to a different location if you have the time.
