This is the second iteration of Tunnel Espresso Bar, the original being located in the tunnel between Eaton Center and Place Ville-Marie.
Purposefully located in the tunnel leading to the Stanley Street exit of Peel metro station, breathing life into a semi-dead and dubious section of the underground, the coffee at this new Tunnel Espresso Bar is just as delicious as the original location. In fact, my husband and I are such fans that we stopped twice in the same day, before and after our visit at the Museum of Fine Arts. They serve one of my favorite latte in the city, featuring a finely tuned, creamy and balanced taste. Their chai latte is also very good. Their chewy and thick chocolate chip cookies are also trying.
Note that this new Tunnel Espresso Bar also features a resting area with benches and a table, a definite improvement that is much appreciated.
From now on, I'll only exit Peel from Stanley Street; a perfect excuse to grab a good coffee, matched with a friendly service!
