  • Just had a terrible experience here. My family won a gift certificate for DJ's at the Friendship Folk & Flower Festival. It was signed and said we were entitled to $25 worth of products from DJ's. I loved the idea of getting local meat from a local butcher and couldn't wait to use it. The guy behind the counter took a cursory look at the certificate and said that he wouldn't accept it. When I expressed surprise, he said that it wasn't the same type of certificate they use now, and that it was probably signed by Travis, who doesn't work there anymore. I don't understand this at all. It's not like I took the trouble to forge a fake gift certificate and fake signature. The guys just didn't want to honor the commitment they had made to the Friendship neighborhood and the flower festival. Jagoffs.
