| - We're locals, and we went here for a couple's night out. This was our first night on the strip, even though we've lived here for a year now. First off, this is a huge hotel, so get ready to walk. You'll find that most people adopt casual wear for their strip experience, although some do prefer to dress up (think boobs and mini skirts). INSIDER TIP: Locals always are casual. We rarely buy into the movie version of what Las Vegas should be. NYNY should be commended on their staff/service ethic. Excellent service started at check-in, and we never had bad service at all. Wait staff were kind, shop staff were kind...staff make the Strip Experience, and NYNY knew how to make us feel welcome. If you go there, take in the live music at the Irish pub, along with the traditional Irish dancing...what a treat. Get there early, by at least 8:45PM, so that you'll have a seat when the music starts at 9PM. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the lack of proper air in the hotel room. The room itself was very clean, but we sweated all during the night. And we're locals who are used to this weather. If I stayed at NYNY again, I think I'd stay during the Fall/Winter, when the air could actually handle the load. Other than that, a great experience.
