  • Thank goodness people have the *guts* to open stores like Blame Betty in Calgary. This city is clamouring for more kitschy, unique and genre-based clothing stores so by no suprise, this one deserves kudos with a cherry on top! So you want something with a pinup or rockabilly twist? Shoes, dresses, skirts, tops, sweaters, a rainbow of hair dyes, unique accessories, kitschy homewares.....in a wide variety of prints including swallows, cherries, skulls, old-school tattoo designs, polka-dots, etc. Okay. So, the prices aren't reasonable. So unless you're willing to chance it online, there is no where else to go for such niche-based wares. I found a darling white with red-polkadots with cherry emblems tie up halter dress and I love it. It was a splurge at $100 but a righteous one cuz damn I look great in it. Gurls with curves will appreciate how some of these dresses fit. So savour your shape and treat it nicely by dressing it in threads that Marilyn and Betty would approve of. *wink* And don't forget the red lipstick. *mwah!*
