I have only been here twice but I have really liked what I have seen so far. I keep reading reviews that this is a diehard metal store but I have seen plenty of music that is not metal. I can't speak for their vinyl collection since I don't collect vinyl but their CD selection is good if you're looking for rock. It's highly unlikely you will find anything else here (I found two jazz CDs in the bargain bin).
The staff seems pretty friendly and they let you browse and browse to your heart's content. One guy complemented my choices which I found pretty surprising, but welcomed it and kinda wish I took the time to speak with him at length. I am not a big metal fan but one day if I am looking for some metal, I'll give this place another visit and just go up and ask what's good. I have a feeling they will appreciate the opportunity to give their spiel.
Also - don't overlook that bargain CD bin. They have great finds there - plenty of big name acts for real cheap, not necessarily mainstream but big names for the casual and serious music fan.
