  • We own two timeshares and although I always stay mid-strip (Bellagio, Aria, etc.), I agreed with the hubby to try this place so we could use our timeshare points. For the two of us, it was a great idea. Room was nice and the place is relaxing. Even though we did not end up using the pool or the lazy river, we certainly will the next time we stay. Gorgeous and well-maintained. Getting to the strip is EASY. We had a car so we did not need to use their shuttle service but many people did and it ran on-time and got folks to the strip and back efficiently. The restaurant on the premises had really good food, extremely good cocktails and the wait staff was very friendly. We also used the spa for a couples massage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The services at this spa were very reasonably priced. Another perk is the proximity to the airport. This really helped us since we had a 7:30 AM flight the day we departed. We were pleasantly surprised that no one called us to engage in a high-pressure sales pitch for timeshares. My husband told them up front we would not be interested and they left us alone. They get huge points for this! All of these things are great but there were some concerns. Unfortunately, this place sits behind a "weekly" rental motel and our room in Tower 5 gave us optimal views of all the illicit activity that occurs on that property. Any fans of the TV show "Ray Donovan" will understand when I say I expected to see Mickey flipping burgers by the pool (I am 100% serious! I think they must film there). We would sit on our balcony in the morning and drink our coffee and we felt like we were watching a movie or "cops." I saw a couple dumpster diving and then the female shot up heroine by the dumpster on the motel property. The couple also ventured into our resort and started dumpster diving there. She left her drug paraphernalia on the ground and that is when I called our security to report them. There were a lot of kids at our resort so this really upset me. The next morning, I saw what appeared to be a prostitute changing clothes in order to disguise herself by the AC unit on the motel property. She was tweaking like she was also on drugs and seemed to be extremely paranoid. At one point, she approached a "John" took him beside the dumpster and did what working girls do. He left and then she took off running. Shortly after, a very muscular man rounded the corner, looking very angry, then took off in the direction she ran. I can only assume it was her pimp. I will say that I saw the police drive through this motel parking lot repeatedly so I do think they try to monitor the activity there. I would NEVER bring my children to this resort due to the proximity of this motel. Quite frankly, I would NEVER bring children to Las Vegas anyway!!! I don't understand it at all and Vegas is no place for children. This time no one bothered us personally from the adjacent property but we witnessed enough from our balcony to realize this is a very BAD place. It is a shame that this property is so very close to the Tahiti Village because everything else was great.
