| - So I've been thinking about Lasik for several years now and always wanted to get it done. To be honest, I was worried about the actual procedure (complications, not being a candidate, etc) as well as the cost. One day, while watching tv and hating my glasses more than most days, I told my husband that I was making us an appointment for a consultation. I figured why not? It's free and that way we'll know for sure if we're candidates and exactly how much it will cost. So I called and they scheduled us both for about 3 days later (the guy on the phone doing the scheduling was very nice, thorough and he took the time to answer my questions and prepare me for what to expect during our consultation). At our consultation, we were taken back together for the testing (pretty similar to a standard eye test with some other quick tests mixed in) and to watch a quick video before meeting with the Dr to confirm we were both candidates! The entire staff that day was awesome! Very personable and very aware that we had our 2 kids with us and made sure to let us know they were working quickly which I appreciated. So not only did we find out we were candidates, we were given a price quote and talked to about the financing as well. All seemed very reasonable and we were scheduled for surgery that next week! The night before our surgery, we received a call from Dr. Perry to see if we had any questions, I thought that was a nice gesture. We arrive the morning of our surgery and everything went according to plan, they did a quick re-test, took care of payment and after care instructions and before we knew it, we were back in the procedure room for surgery! Dr. Perry was very lighthearted and set me at ease right away! I was extremely nervous but that quickly subsided once he walked in the room. He was so confident in his work and made sure I did not have any final questions before getting started. The whole process from start to finish took probably a little less than 10 minutes. It was completely painless and easy! Dr. Perry made sure to let me know exactly how many seconds until I was done, I loved that. Once I was done, they took my husband back and about 10 minutes later, we were on our way home! They had told us to plan to be there for about 2 hours on surgery day and that is about how long it took. Recovery wasn't bad at all, slighly uncomfortable until waking up from a nap about 3 hours later. After that, it's been smooth sailing. Went for our check up the next day and we are both seeing better than 20/20! All in all, we are extremely pleased with the results most importantly, and the entire process as well as the staff at LasikPlus! Thanks so much, we couldn't be happier! My only regret is that I waited so long!
