Do not visit unless you want to support a bike shop that has no respect for you.
Had a horrendous experience at Duke's Cycle a couple months back. We had purchased Sidi shoes and when making that purchase, we specifically asked if we would be able to return an old pair (wrong size) we had purchased there, a couple months later. We were very clear on the fact that we would not buy the new pair of shoes, if we were unable to return the old pair. My mother had purchased it for someone in China and would only be able to return it the next time she came to Canada. We were told that it would be absolutely fine and they would write a note about it on our account.
When we came back a couple months after, we were definitely not met with the same kind of attitude when we were purchasing the new pair. The staff that were working with us were kind but the boss of the store was completely disrespectful. He did not even bother to talk with us about it and instead was very disrespectful and implied that we lied. We did not see him for longer than half a minute and that time was spent yelling about how we were wrong. I had high opinions of Duke's Cycle before this experience but I will never be returning. The blatant disrespect we were met with from the owner of the store was extremely alarming and I think there are other shops worth visiting where you will be treated equally and with respect.
Side note: They did let us return our shoes after the entire ordeal but we had to pay the tax which was around fifty dollars.
