  • Sorry Balzacs, there's a new favourite in the 'hood! I'm one of those lactose-free people who drinks their coffee black, which used to leave me in a sad state in Corktown -- but not any more! While Balzacs is great if you enjoy a good dark roast, Rooster has them beat with medium and lighter roasts. They are bright, fruity and doesn't leave you parched after just a few sips. The baristas are knowledgeable about each variety they serve and can always point you in the right direction. I've only had a few cookies so far, so I can't attest to the food too much yet, but they were both delicious so I'm sure the rest is good as well. And with pumpkin butter tarts? I think I'll be heading here more often...
