We parked in the back and entered the back door. There was a funky smell that was awful. We looked around and started to admire the retro decor. I loved the hanging superhero and Frankenstein. Then I noticed the lack of cleanliness. The dust blowing from the air conditioning vents on the ceiling was disgusting. Dust blowing maybe on my food. The plastic covers of the fluorescent lights were black. Grime, dust, dirt don't really know, but it gave me a very bad impression. The place did not look clean overall. They have a huge whitboard hanging in front of kitchen with specials or parts of the menu. It was too much stuff to read at the angle I was sitting. Maybe the menu needs replacement the plastic is worn out and they were all sticky. Our server was great. Karen, very attentive, checking if we needed something, knowing her menu inside out. She recommended the veggie burger to my husband and he liked it. If you want a burger with fries this is not the place. They give chips they don't offer fried foods.which for me it's a good thing but my huband was craving fries. I had the club sandwich and it was good. I ordered the coleslaw that is my favorite side dish. It looked great but I was disappointed because it was bland with no taste, I had to add salt to give it some taste. The artichoke and mushroom quiche was the best, to bad it was heated up in a micro and was soggy. My daughter ordered a regular burger with swiss and mushrooms and the other one ordered some kind of salad that was ok. Our 8 year old had a kids meal. A cheese quesadilla very poorly presented in a sushi plate. I though that being across Discovery Place kids menu was a bit more appealing. Overall I have to say that the food was fairly good. But if you are picky regarding cleanliness like me this is not the place to go.
