  • I sat outside on a very hot day and it was just so-so for me. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad and was hoping for more flavor. (See picture) The waitress was very friendly, very helpful when ordering. Always there when we needed her and we were the only ones on the patio so that was nice. We also had our dog and they immediately asked if he needed water which is was a sweet gesture. Honestly, I can't speak much for the inside of the place and the pizza - two parts to Balboa that I'm sure are important! - so I will have to update when I go back again. My husband got the meatloaf sandwich and house chips which he really liked. Just A-OK for now, but nothing is stopping me from going back so I look forward to it.
