I had a bad feeling once we arrived and the first thing either the owner or manager asked was how much I paid for my Groupon. He then started complaining on how Groupon lowered the price by a dollar or two.
Next bad feeling was when we were instructed to leave the gears alone since it was a flat trail.
Then came the biggest issue I had, the quick release kept popping out of the back tire. Anytime I would lift off the seat to peddle faster, the quick release would slip and come off. This happened while we were testing the bikes out. One of the workers said it must have been loose and the bike was good, no offer to swap out bikes.
Once we left and hit the first hill in the south side, quick release came out. I fixed it, started to go up hot metal Bridge, it slipped again. After the third slip, I sat the entire bike ride. My father's bike also had numerous gear issues the entire time as well.
Once we returned to the rental facility, I informed either the manager or owner of our issues. He glanced over the bikes and said he fixes em all the time and then walked away.
I even told him all the issues we had. He did not say sorry or give any remorse. He seemed as if he didn't even care!
I contacted Groupon that very evening and I received my money back.
Avoid this place at all cost. If you do go, give your bike renral a good test before you take off. They say it's a flat trail but it is not.
