| - I've been in Scottsdale a few times and really love the place, we have stayed in some great hotels and thought we'd give this one a try. The hotel looks great from the outside, and in a nice location so why not. First of all the hotel is enormous, catering to a lot of guests, it also has conferences and meetings going on regularly so this is a busy hotel.
On arrival, we were told there was a 2 day 'Narcotics Anonymous' conference going on - yes ex drug addicts were everywhere, literally everywhere - in the lobby, in the restaurants, in the bar and yes all over the pool area. This was a little off putting but hey it's only 2 days.
When they left - we had some kids event on, near our room and all the rooms on our 'block' were overrun with screaming teenagers - till 3 and 4 in the morning. Hey you gotta make money.
The hotel was not the cleanest I've been in, but the staff were nice and most of them were helpful - except one girl at reception, she seemed a little dumb, and looked at me very strangely when I asked about the drugs conference. Overall - a bad decision, too busy, too noisy, not the cleanest hotel - but free cookies....never again.
