Hyatt Place Las Vegas has officially made it to my list of the "I'll think twice before staying here again" as a dedicated member to the Hyatt Brands World of Hyatt program I expect the loyalty is honored. If you are reading this and apart of the same membership then don't expect to be treated any different. The customer service at this hotel is so bad it's not even funny.
Upon check in there were maybe 3 people working the front desk. I was looking for the normal dedicated line for Globalist but had to come back down to reality that this is just a Hyatt Place.. but should that mean that I don't receive the proper service? Unfortunately I was called over by one of the most rude front desk people I think I have ever encountered. Josh had the worst attitude and was anything but accommodating followed by the nonchalant ass fine he had. I inquired about a late check out and got shut down with a short "No it's unavailable! Completely sold out." Told him that I've never had an issue with this and he made sure he stressed that it wasn't really his issue. Ask me if i had been to the hotel before and I let him know that I hadn't and that based off his service I'd most likely never return. He told me "have a great day" haha smart ass! All good though because remember you are there to do a job and assist the guest. People forget that without the consumer customers you'd not have no job so humble up Josh.
On to the actual one night stay with my family.. I could've swore I requested a queen room and I didn't get one of those I was told a king bed was all they had and that it was what it was.. hmmph! Luckily the room featured a pull out sofa because then we would've been screwed. The room itself was a basic one good for one night but featured a stale nasty smell. The bathroom set up is weird idk it was just a mess but we made do..
Bottom line is that I wouldn't stay here unless it was absolutely necessary! There are far better places in Las Vegas and ones that aren't located in sketchy neighborhoods like this one. Oh and if you do decide to stay here avoid the front desk agent Josh..
