  • This was a great find that wasn't on my list of retro game shops. From the outside it doesn't look like much however once you get into the place it's a virtual playland of used media. The Last Word has a huge area just for books, about half of the space, which is in the back half. The front is reserved for movies (dvd, blu ray) and retro consoles and games. There's also a big lounge like area in the front of the store. I heard some talk while I was there that they were going to be setting up an in house coffee shop there. The middle of the store full of music. CD's in the front facing section and vinyl behind that. This was my last stop in the retro tour of Charlotte and this place delivered as well. I picked up a complete Sega Dreamcast system here for $35. You can bet at those prices they won't last long. Unfortunately there were no Dreamcast games during this visit, but that's no problem and I'll hit up another store while I'm in the area. In addition to that I picked up a couple of used CD's for the car. Both were about $4 each. Cases were in perfect condition as well as the booklet and CD's. Definitely a fantastic random find. This is another place I'll be revisiting on future Charlotte trips.
