| - To be honest, good reviews or not, I wasn't particularly impressed with Great Buns. When you call a bakery and ask if they have French bread -- which pretty much should be a staple of any general bakery -- you don't want to hear, "Ummm... the long stick kind?" When I said I was looking for a boule, not a baguette, she had no clue. Listen, if I go to Albertsons or Smiths, that would be about the level of professional, technical knowledge I'd expect, but really, in a bakery, you expect them to know basic bread. I ended up with the heavy Italian bread, and wasn't thrilled. The crust was bland and underdone. Just meh.
