| - Our experience with the Cancun Resort was very disappointing. I gave it two stars because the room was clean and comfortable, but both bathrooms had broken faucets, and there were only a couple of towels in each. The front desk staff was mediocre, at best, seemed to be annoyed that they had to actually work. As soon as you think that you are finally checked in, (yes, it took quite a long time for what seemed to be a simple reservation of one room) some pushy sales guy snags your key and insists on giving you a "welcome package" that you don't need. I explained to the guy several times that we were just stopping over for the night on our way home, we had two kids with us (one is severely handicapped) but he just held tight to the keys and kept up his pitch. I had to phone the front desk to ask for extra towels and blankets, the guy at the desk responded as if I'd asked him to come up and paint the room! Just some towels and blankets, dude, really, it shouldn't send you into a panic. The pictures of this resort are misleading, it's dark, and smells like a hospital cafeteria throughout the hallways.
