| - We'd heard a lot about this place: great beer selection and good food. Been wanting to try it so we did. Very disappointing. My husband loves the craft beers. The sign outside says $4 pints, all beers, all days. So, we go inside; it's very loud. Not very many people in there at all (for a Saturday around 6 PM). We're handed the large menu with the bottle beer selection, other drinks (I'm a wine drinker), and dinner menu. We were also given a sheet of paper with the craft beer selections. Between the lighting and the very small print on the paper, you couldn't read the selections. We were told there were boards posted to the left and the right of the bar, but DAH, we were seated and wanted to relax and order. I ordered a white zin and while the bar maid told me the brand, wasn't recognizable; it was awful. Why not get a Sutter Home or Berringer like a lot of bars. Reasonable prices and not bad tasting. My husband order his beer and gee, guess what, it was one of "the beers" that didn't come in the $4 pints. He ordered a second beer, different type, and guess what again, it still wasn't the $4 pints. When he ordered his second beer, he told the bar maid when you come back we'd like to order dinner. Long story short: she came back with his beer; no mention of food; & when we saw her again, we asked to settle the tab and went elsewhere for dinner. Doubt we'll every go back. We went out of our way (about 10-12 miles) to go to this place because we'd heard so much about it; in my opinion, was a waste of our time when there are plenty of local bar/pubs closer to home with good food and much better service.
