  • So I live in Charlotte, and after reading several DMV reviews decided to drive the extra 20 minutes north to go to this DMV instead of any of the ones in Charlotte. IT IS SO WORTH IT. I went on a Wednesday morning, around 9am. I got in there only to find out one of the documents I had was the wrong one, and instead of telling me 'too bad so sad' they suggested going over to one of their computer kiosks and just printing out the document I needed. Total life saver. Once I had all my documents in order I got my number and waited not even a minute. Getting a new license after that was a simple matter of handing over the information and passing the eye test. So easy, and super fast. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Every staff member I came in contact with was amazing. Very patient and very helpful. They seemed like the were happy to be there and to help, especially when I got frazzled with my documents. If I ever have to go back to a dmv again it will be this one. I was never expecting something so simple and fast from a dmv.
