Where do I start?
I wanted to eat at Joel Robuchon or Craftsteak, but our group had 1(or 2) girl(s) who didn't want to spend $60~$120 for a nice meal. I was so sad.
We ended up eating at Fiamma, we waited 10min to get sat for 5 girls.
Decor was nice and lighting was perfect.
FOod was okay...
Free bread sucked-this is usually a big sign of how their food will be.
I like restaurants that focuses on small details like even the free bread, or the dipping sauce where the bals-ving gets lost on the bottom of the sauce dish. errrr~
Carpaccio- This was the best on the menu! The truffle oil gave it a nice ending.
Fig + proscuitto appetizer- It was delicious but I can make this at home as well.
The lobster gnocchi- Gnocchi was not good at all..it was very mushy-like the bad mushy. My friend picked all the lobster pcs and left all the gnocchi on the plate.
The mini ravioli with braised beef- Ravioli was cooked just right! But the braised beef with the cream sauce was just way too heavy. Good thing I was hungry.
Will I be back? Maybe if I just need a place to eat.
But this isn't a "special" place to dine for me.
This place reminds me of The Cheesecake factory or even Grand Lux Cafe +1pt.
