We have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT that we bought new. It comes with a 5 year 60,000 mile manufacture warranty (The Worlds Best). A little over a month ago my wife went to get in her car and the automatic sun shade was hanging down in to the back seat. My wife took it in to get it fixed and they said they would have to send in pictures to see if it would be covered under warranty. A month later they finally got back to her and told her it would not be covered under warranty and it is $900 to fix it. I went in and talked to Gabe and he told me he would call and see if he could dispute the original decision. The next day they called me back in to take more pictures.
The car is not even two years old and the automatic sun shade broke. It is a kid free car that has never been abused. To me this should have been a no brainer manufacture warranty. But they tell me its not covered because they haven't seen this problem before. I wonder how many issues they have to see on a car before the issue is can be covered under warranty.
