  • As a pure game store, Little Shop of Magic is a rare experience in the Vegas area; almost everywhere else that handles games in the city is a comics shop first and a game store second. They have a fantastic selection, knowledgeable staff, and good customer service. I could wish that the airflow was a bit better, but that's just a minor quibble. As part of a test, when I went in to trade in some cards, I included a fairly valuable foil card in my selection; I had no expectation of getting the increased value of the foil card, but how they handled the presence of a rare foil rare can tell you quite a lot about the people in charge of a store. Many places will simply quietly take it and say nothing about the augmented value. At this store, the lady checking the cards came out and checked if I was sure I wanted to trade it, since they didn't offer an increase in value and I could probably take the card elsewhere for a much better deal. She took the time to make sure I knew I was giving away 2x to 3x the value they could offer before accepting the card, which is why I am more than happy to call this place my Friendly Local Gaming Store.
