  • THIS PLACE IS NOT CLOSED. REPEAT: IT IS NOT CLOSED. IT IS ALIVE AND WELL. I had frozen custard at East Coast custard the week of July 4, 2016. This place relocated a while back from Story Road at Lorain to 22669 Lorain Road in Fairview Park (just a bit west of their former location and on the south side of Lorain Road.) People keep perpetuating the rumor that it has closed. WRONG! If you want some really good quality frozen custard, go to East Coast Original Frozen Custard at its new location at 22669 Lorain Road (south side of the street). I had a small chocolate frozen custard and while not an adventurous selection on my part, clicked all the right boxes: perfect texture, perfect taste (not too sweet), no crystals in it, and the super silky wonderfulness in a good quality frozen custard, something fantastic to enjoy on a hot day, or on any day, for that matter. Check them out, online, for special flavors throughout the seasons. A single serving is $2.00 or $2.25 (can't recall which) and should be plenty for anyone; however, if I hadn't eaten dinner beforehand, I could easily have polished off a double serving with no problems. Next time I'm going there hungry.
