  • Worth the trip, especially if you have kids. I have been here for nearly 10 years and didn't even realize that the Las Vegas Natural History Museum existed. With kids out during the summer, we have been in search of outings & activities. Although not much from the outside, the museum has a lot to offer on the inside. We didn't know what to expect and maybe that is why I was impressed. There are various areas that give insight to various cultures, time periods and animals. It was great for our 5 & 2 year old. I thought that it would be an hour in and out, but we were there nearly three hours and the boys could have stayed even longer. It is a great morning or afternoon outing. The staff was very friendly and really enjoyed talking about the museum, which was fantastic! Be sure to check out their website prior to your visit to get information on the exhibit that is currently on-site. This isn't something that we could do every week, I think the kids would get bored after awhile, but every now & again - what a fun experience!
