When I checked in I spoke with Star. She was helpful with my request to check in early. This is a birthday gift to my daughter. I asked could I check in early. She said at that time no rooms were available she said to check back in an hour. So I went to eat and come back in an hour. At that time one room was cleaned and available so she let me check in. I asked one simple easy question. I asked Star could I split the payment with two cards? She said yes! My room was only around 260.00 something dollars. Including incidentals around 290.00 for two days only. I told her I have a major credit card and of that 290.00 put 220.00 on the major credit card and the remainder the 60 plus incidentals on the debit card. Seemed simple enough to understand. So Star charged my credit card first of the 220.00 then tool the other card and ran it. She never gave me a receipt. I assumed I would get it upon check out. The second card was my daughter's card in which was all the money she had for her birthday. So my daughter called me after I let the hotel and tells me there is 300.00 something dollars taken by holiday from her bank account. I then checked my bank and that 220.00 was also taken from my credit card. So all togethor there was a total of 600.00 something dollars combined between my daughter account and my credit card for a 200.00 something room for two days. I called the hotel immediately and explained to them the amounts and asked them to put my daughter's funds back in her account. Star didn't seem to know what to do an asked did I want her superior Tara I said yes. Explained to her that they tool way too much out of my account . She said she would remove my daughter's bank card off the account but said my bank would have to cancel the transaction. I called my bank and several things were required from holidays to fax in to get the funds back and it would not be immediately. Long story short Star did not know what she was doing. They ruined my daughters birthday. They also blamed me the customer and said it was my fault that they charged too much. I asked Star to run 220.00 on my credit card. And the remainder which was no more than 90.00 so please tell me how that's my fault? Tara is a horrible manager and the staff there are clueless. I am appalled that they put the blame on me. I did not scan the card they did. It was very clear that it was their fault. I can't charge my own card and why would I tell you to charge more then the room was worth? You all obviously failed to tell me that when you pay in advanced that the whole amount comes out. Still not even sure how they didn't know that. Anyhow they don't own up to their mistakes. They also never apologized. Worst most unqualied service I have ever experienced.
