| - If I could rate this center less than one star, I would give it a zero.
On Monday, April 29, 2009, I came in to have an Intra Uterine Device (IUD) put in by Dr. Suzanne Trupin, the head doctor at women's health practice.
-(Rude) When Trupin entered the room where I was waiting for her, she didn't bother to introduce herself or ask me for my name.
-(Ill Service) The nurse practitioner (JoAnn) didn't counsel me on the benefits and cons of both types of IUD's (the way I expected), and I felt somewhat rushed through the questions regarding my health.
-(Ill Service) A few minutes later when the procedure was starting, Trupin, JoAnn, and a second nurse practitioner came in, and the latter looked at my lower body and gave me a disapproving look, making me feel inadequate and shamed to try to get their services.
Then, Trupin looked at my face and loudly remarked "Girrrrl! You're breaking out!", in a most tactless and insensitive way. I was not there to treat my skin, so why would my skin be of any concern to her?
During the procedure, Trupin was careless and insensitive. She dealt with me as if I were one of her plastic models.
-(Insensitive) When she was done, she simply left the room without *even* saying "bye" or "get rest".
-(being rushed out of the room) I was in so much pain, I could not sit due to the harsh procedure, and still, after 15 minutes, I was being rushed out by a blonde middle-aged nurse who entered the room, and without even bothering to ask me if I needed, she put a cold paper towel against my forehead and rambled about how I should go home.
When we needed Trupin for an emergency, she was gone for the weekend, and no one in her office could see me, they claimed, so I had to go Carle's Emergency Room for the pain.
-(playing phone tag with customers) Then a few days after that, I was bleeding profusely from the area where the procedure was made, and we called Trupin's office and asked them to have a nurse call back and NO NURSE CALLED BACK THE WHOLE DAY, we had to play "phone tag" with them all day long to *finally* speak to JoAnn, one of the practitioners, who had a lousy excuse about their computers being down, trying to excuse their incompetence.
She was unable to answer my questions, and overall responded with "I don't know".
-(SECRET CHARGES made) Later, we learned that Women's Health Practice was charging us for an additional Pregnancy Test, which we never requested. They kept it secret from us during our consultation!
***Overall, Women's Health Center and Dr. Trupin's service was remarkably rude, impersonal, tactless, and wholly without care of a miserable shred of the patient's well being neither during the procedure nor after. ***
In addition, the staff at the center were dishonest and unhelpful and unknowledgeable.
I have nothing positive to say, as a 21-yr old female patient, about this place. If you are a woman or you have a female partner whom you care for, don't bother stepping into this door, They will rip you off. In fact, that's what a Dr. at Carle remarked to me when I told him this story.
I feel traumatized by her lousy service and inexistent care for patients. She is eccentric, in-your-face, childish, and wholly without care of her patients. Her staff also echoes her same attributes. Don't bother coming here, you'll regret it!

as if this wasn't bad enough, I have learned that Women's Health Practice is charging me for an appointment I never made..
I just checked my phone's mailbox and realized that they left a message saying they were going *to sign me up* for an appointment, and WITHOUT MY CONSENT they claim I placed it, and are now charging me for it. Yet another excuse for robbing patients of their money!
Suzanne Trupin is abusive, careless and her staff is ignorant and rude. Take it from an unlucky patient.
