  • I choose this location solely off the randomness of google "Top 10" listings and the fact that it turned out to be an 8 minute walk from my apartment didn't hurt either. Stepping inside, your immediately acknowledged, by every staff member who sees you. Being brought to my seat for my consultation, I was asked what I wanted to drink. Having just spent 6 years in Manhattan, I didn't find this level of sophistication often there. Great touch and it really makes the client feel like at that time, they are truly valued. My initial plan was to get my hair dyed from a dusky blond to a copper-red family and Dee the woman who did the color part of my visit did an amazing job. She brought me relevant swatches to what I had described, something in the medium copper and it turned out amazing. I asked during my color if I could get a cut too and this was really last minute, they were booked solid for the day so I decided I could come back another time being that it is local. What transpired after the color was done (faster then I recall anyone every doing it) was a wash and cut by the owner, yes short staffed and the actual owner of this location pitches in. There are a lot of reasons why I will return to Evoke for coloring but to see that level of commitment was very impressive. Oh and I am a guy, no awkward looks as to why a man would want root dyeing just amazing service. I recommend this place to anyone male or otherwise. Wonderful!
