| - Spent my 2015 New Year's here, and I don't have any complaints!
Walking in, I was taken by the trendy lighting and decor along with cozy booths that make the place feel intimate despite the open design. Quick and attentive service was consistent during our whole meal.
Our party ordered the Bruschetta as a starter and a Delux Basket of Mixed Fries to share. The Bruschetta was wonderful; crispy baguette slices topped with perfectly textured tomatoes. I could have eaten just that for dinner and been happy. The Mixed Fries were good - I was especially surprised that the sweet potato fries were crispy. The accompanying housemade sauce was delicious.
For our main eats we ordered The Classic and Delux Burgers. Our pescetarian friend ordered a California Roll, Shrimp Tempura, and Spicy Tuna.
My burger (the Delux) was delicious. The burger had a nice, perfectly seasoned flavor, and a good amount of chew texture-wise. I especially enjoyed the caramelized onions and applewood bacon that top the Delux Burger. If I'm ever in Phoenix again I'd order another for sure.
Two of use decided to ring in the New Year with Deluxtinis. If you're looking for something that is sweet and packs a roundhouse kick to the senses, get the Deluxtini. Orange flavored vodka, peach schnapps, pineapple juice, and champagne are all mixed up and served to you in a classic martini glass. This drink is STRONG, and if you don't enjoy the taste of vodka it might be off-putting; if you are into drinks that aren't too sweet but have a lot of fruity flavor I'd recommend the Deluxtini.
All in all, Delux left a great impression on me. The food was good, and we had great service. If I lived in the area, it'd be a regular happy hour spot as they have not one, but two!
