  • My husband and I did a lot of researching to find the perfect first car to purchase as husband and wife. We both have rather old vehicles are were ready to break down and get something we really wanted, fully loaded. We knew we wanted a Subaru (either Outback or Forester), so my husband decided to stop in to #1 Cochran one Saturday while I was working. He got all the specs figured out on the the two models. We returned a week later where I had the pleasure of meeting salesman Steve Phillips. He took his time giving a second overview of the vehicles for me and really adjusted our visit to cater to what we wanted. I especially appreciated that he encouraged me to test-drive both a 4-cylinder and V6 Outback to see the 4-cylinder really was a great car. I appreciated that he didn't push us into the bigger engine just because it would be a bigger price tag. Toward the end of my initial visit, he gave my husband and me some time to ourselves to discuss and crunch numbers and was never once pushy. We decided to put in an order for a vehicle then. This past weekend we picked up our new Subaru Outback and couldn't be happier. He spent a ton of time going over all the features. And another gentleman, Dave, who did our paperwork was also really great. Reading some of these reviews, I'm a little nervous how service at the dealership will go in the future. But we were encouraged to email our salesman to make appointments; so, I trust we'll get our new car in when it needs it. Looking forward to being continued customers of #1 Cochran in the future!
