I'm sad this place is located so far from me. If it was closer I'd be a regular for sure. I've been twice now. The first time I went with my daughter and she commented how it was so similar to a cafe we'd been in when we traveled to Montreal. I said the name to her... Patisserie Du Soleil... and she clued in.
The first evening there I was at an event after dinner so I was not hungry, but I decided this heavenly chocolate hazelnut cake thing. I never got the name of it, but it was melt in my mouth delicious. My daughter got the chocolate pretzel which was chocolate pastry covered in even more chocolate. According to her it was to die for. There was also finger foods offered through out the event and everything I nibbled on was so tasty. I wish I could remember what they all were.
My second trip there was for breakfast. I got the eggs benny and a latte. Both delicious! The eggs Benedict were traditional with hollandaise sauce and shaved ham, but instead of english muffins they were on light fluffy pastry like buns. It also came with a generous serving of fresh fruit and little cut up potatoes with the skin still on. They were so tasty and the latte was perfect!
I like the staff there and find them very accommodating. The one owner I met was very friendly. I'll go out of my way to go back there to eat again. Next time I must try one of their real tea lattes.
