My husband and I stayed at the MGM during Thanksgiving weekend, and stopped by here for lunch the day we arrived. I was tempted to order the Thanksgiving dinner, but it was too much food for me.
We tried the Maryland Blue Crab Cakes, Pumpkin Tortellini, and Sauteed Scottish Salmon. The crab cakes were nicely browned on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The dish was served with a tasty Basil Pesto Aioli. I loved the flavors of the Pumpkin Tortellini, which was made with brown butter and sage--everything blended so well together. The tortellini was fresh, although the folds of dough were a bit too thick for me. The salmon was nicely cooked, and the mushroom ragout and pork belly were nice additions to the dish. Our friend had the Roasted Turkey Sandwich (the cheapest, but the most filling) which he said was really good.
Service was good. It wasn't crowded when we went, so the food came out quickly. The waiter was friendly and checked on us pretty often.
This is a convenient spot to grab some gourmet food on a budget.
