I bought a Sam's Club membership for the solitary reason of buying a reclining couch only Sam's Club carried. I had to order it to be delivered because they didn't have the color I wanted local. So I paid $154 freight delivery. One year later, the couch recliner broke. I called customer service and they were very polite. After research, I was given a reference number, told to take the couch to any Sam's Club and I'd receive a full refund, including shipping. I went to the Bell Road location. The In-person experiences Member Services at this Sam's Club was horrible. Why would ANYONE choose them over Costco. Horrendous customer service. I was told to unload the couch and bring it in before they'd even talk to me. (Im a 145 woman). Then the member service person They said I have to contact corporate to get the $165 shipping charge back.
